Oxwich Point Walking Route

Oxwich Point is a beautiful walk that takes you around one of Gower's most picturesque and dramatic headlands, passing through lovely forest and across open cliffs, and includes a stretch of the Gower Coast Path.

 

Walking Summary

Distance: The shorter walk is 3¼ miles (5Kms), the long trek via Oxwich Green is about 4½ Miles (7Kms)

Estimated Time: Nearly 2 to 4 Hours

Terrain: The woodland section of the walk is on uneven ground, prone to muddy, and has a very long flight of steps. No stiles on the shorter route, but three stiles are there on the longer route

Be Prepared: Wear suitable clothing and footwear for the requirements and season

Safety: Take care when observing the short section of the road; there are no pavements. The trail runs near cliffs and steep inclines.

Refreshments: The Oxwich Bay Hotel and the local village shop have a wide range of refreshments and meals

Public Toilets: Opposite the Hotel
